Have you ever walked into a room and felt uncomfortable or uneasy? Or entered a home that felt open, warm and welcoming? It may very well be because of Feng Shui. Feng Shui principles can be applied to the home, garden and office to create spaces that are not only beautiful but also life enhancing.
Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese study and art of placement. The words "Feng Shui" mean "wind" and "water"—the physical means of moving energy. The goal of Feng Shui is to increase harmony and balance in your environment. Part of achieving harmony is assuring the balanced flow of ch'i. Ch'i is best translated as vital energy or invisible life force. Feng Shui maintains that problems arise when this vital energy moves too fast, too slow, or is blocked entirely.
Feng Shui is a method of connecting people with Heaven and Earth –seeking balance and harmony between opposites in all aspects of our environments. Feng Shui is the interplay between the seen (our surroundings) and the unseen (energy and intention) and acknowledges the interconnectedness of all creation.
